Financial Forum this SUNDAY!
I am so excited about this coming Sunday and the incredible opportunity we have as a church to listen to some highly qualified men who are dealing with the present financial crisis. We have assembled a panel that will be able to inform us and answer questions on issues concerning: how did we get in this mess, what exactly is broken, is my money safe in the bank, what will happen to my retirement, how can we get out of this, and what should I be looking at in my own financial world. These men are not here to offer financial advice but to inform us on a subject that might seem very confusing. The panel is comprised of:
Robert Crema is the President of Acer Investment Group. Bob has been in the financial services business since 1969. He began as a runner on Wall Street and worked his way up the fiduciary business ladder until he started his own brokerage firm in 1982. He specializes as an investment advisor for institutional clients with usually one billion dollars under management. He also deals heavily in foreign markets and understands how a global economy works.
Ron Joelson is presently a Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase, responsible for JP Morgan's relationships with large insurance companies and their investment organizations. Prior to joining JP Morgan in 2007, Ron was head of asset liability and risk management at Prudential Financial, where he also was their chief investment officer. In December, Ron will be the CIO of Genworth Financial, where he will be responsible for $75 billion of assets under management and an investment organization of over 200 professionals. He has extensive experience managing a wide range of assets.
John Osborne is our church’s banker. He is the manager of Susquehanna Bank’s Willow Street branch. He began his banking career at the Quarryville office of Lancaster County Farmers in the bookkeeping department in 1965. After holding positions as a teller, head teller, collection dept. unit manager, assistant branch manager, and branch manager, he retired from First Union Bank in 1999. Since then he has worked as assistant vice president/branch manager of the Susquehanna Bank in Willow Street, PA. John is a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church. John’s son, Tim, and his family attend Oak Hill Fellowship.
Chris Kerneris a member at NewSong. He is Region Vice-President with Primerica Financial Services. He deals primarily with life insurance, estate planning, debt reduction, and consolidation of credit. He brings to the forum 14 years of experience helping families understand what matters most…."to be properly protected, debt free, and financially independent.”
